The scriptures teach the principles of the gospel and are the basis of our faith. They testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of God’s love for His children. For this reason, they are translated into many languages.

As of April 2018,

• The full Book of Mormon is available in 90 languages, plus American Sign Language, English Braille, Spanish Braille, and language study editions* (not included in the full list of languages below).
  • Selections from the Book of Mormon are available in 21 other languages.
  • The full book is currently being translated in 1 languages, and published online incrementally.
  • Deseret English and Hebrew (selections) were previously published, but these are out of print.

• The full Doctrine and Covenants is available in 62 languages.
  • The Doctrine and Covenants is currently being translated in 5 languages, and published online incrementally.
  • Hawaiian, Maori, and Welsh were previously published, but these are out of print.

• The full Pearl of Great Price is available in 62 languages.
  • The Pearl of Great Price is currently being translated in 5 languages, and published online incrementally.
  • Hawaiian, Maori, and Welsh were previously published, but these are out of print.

• The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price are bound together as a complete Triple Combination with study helps in 55 languages.

*There are three language study editions of the Book of Mormon: Russian with diacritics; three-column Traditional Chinese, Romanized Mandarin, English; three-column Traditional Chinese, Romanized Cantonese, English.

Thousands of translations of the Bible are available from publishers around the world. It would be impossible to list all of them here. However,

• Editions of the Holy Bible with Latter-day Saint study helps are published by the Church in 3 languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese).
• Editions of the Bible without Latter-day Saint study helps are published by the Church in 1 languages (Korean).
• The Church has selected a recommended Bible translation for use in church meetings and publications in 96 additional languages (as of 6 Apr 2018).
